Microsoft released Visual Studio 2010 today.
For those of you using the express edition of Visual Studio, you can now download and install Visual Web Developer 2010 Express either as a separate ISO or via the Web Platform Installer.
The Web Platform Installer is often the easiest way to install new applications, framework, and IIS 7 Extensions if you wish to add anything new to your Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 machine.
Just run the Web Platform Installer and select the “What's New?” tab to find Visual Web Developer 2010 Express as an option. It should install the .NET Framework 4 as a dependency:
