iPad Art and Drawing Apps with Pogo Sketch Stylus

iPad Art and Drawing AppsI am totally impressed with Apple's new iPad for reading e-books, watching HD video, social networking via Facebook and Twitter, email, browsing the Internet, etc. The iPad is truly a wonderful device and the perfect size for using on the sofa, in bed, at the local coffee shop, etc.

One huge delight that I just discovered with the iPad is as an art and drawing tablet. Both myself and the kids have already spent several hours drawing, sketching, and doodling using both Autodesk Sketchbook Pro and ArtStudio for iPad.

You can obviously use your fingers for the painting and drawing on the multitouch surface, but it feels a bit foreign to me. I am used to a stylus for sketching and drawing and have been using the Pogo Sketch Stylus from Ten One Design. You can use it for the iPad, iPhone, iPhone 3G, or iPhone 3GS for drawing on your multitouch screen. The point on the Pogo Sketch Stylus is a bit smaller than your regular stylus which makes it a bit more useful for drawing.

If you or your kids love to draw, I highly recommend forgetting about purchasing a separate tablet just for drawing. Buy an Apple iPad as well as the Pogo Sketch Stylus. You will absolutely love it!
