The Orlando Code Camp is this weekend and I will be presenting “What's New in ASP.NET 4” bright and early at 8:30am.
Even though I am a die-hard ASP.NET MVC Developer, I will be taking you through a bunch of really cool features in ASP.NET 4 Web Forms and Dynamic Data that you need to know and leverage as a Microsoft Web Developer. And from the looks of the other Orlando Code Camp Sessions, nobody else will be covering this material so if you don't come to my session you are out of luck :)
As an ASP.NET MVC Developer one of the features I love about ASP.NET MVC is the level of control you have over the output streamed to the browser. New features in ASP.NET 4 give Web Form developers some much needed control that make them breathe a sigh of relief. I will demonstrate everything from
- Cool RESTful Routing
- SEO Optimization
- Cleaner CSS Markup
- Improved Integration with JavaScript Frameworks, like jQuery
- Cool Productivity Enhancements with ASP.NET Dynamic Data
- Better ViewState Management
- etc...
I will dive into all of this with no-nonsense, clear examples explaining the huge benefits.
I hope to see you at my session. And, if you live near Sarasota, Florida, I hope to see you at the Sarasota Web Developer Group where we teach the new features in ASP.NET MVC 2 and ASP.NET 4 Web Forms and Dynamic Data.
