Apple just announced that Snow Leopard will be arriving on August 28th, which is a little earlier than expected.
According to Apple, changes to Snow Leopard include:
- Many performance improvements and smaller footprint
- Addition of many newer technologies:
- All system applications are 64 bit
- Grand Central Dispatch for Multi-Core Awareness
- OpenCL
- Quicktime X
- More plug and play and automatic device driver updates
- A lot of accessibility features for people with disabilities

This is pretty much a must buy as it represents the next evolution in Mac OS X.
