Presenting Enterprise Library Tips & Techniques in Lakeland Florida on April 21

I will be in Lakeland, Florida on Tuesday, April 21, 2009 presenting on Enterprise Library and then some. They had a poll as to what they wanted me to talk on and Enterprise Library won, so we will be digging into the various application blocks showing how to use them via their various facade classes, etc. as well as with the Unity Application Block. I will make a point to create some examples both using the MVC Framework and ASP.NET Webforms using Model-View-Presenter since there was some interest in those topics. I can also throw in some uses of LINQ To SQL and the data access application block to show end-to-end SQL Server data access tips and techniques.

The official abstract has not been posted yet, but here is what I sent:

Enterprise Library Tips & Techniques

Jumpstart your application development with Enterprise Library from Microsoft Patterns & Practices. This presentation will guide you through the productivity and maintainability benefits of using various application blocks in Enterprise Library in your ASP.NET Webforms and MVC Web applications for data access, logging, validation, exception handling, and other cross-cutting concerns. We will also look at the newest application block, Unity, and see how it can impact your use of other application blocks as well as offer additional benefits depending on your application needs.
