SQL Intellisense Add-In for SQL Server Management Studio - SQL Prompt Released by Red Gate

I was hoping to give a quick demo of SQL Prompt at the Sarasota .NET Developer Group Meeting last night, but my presentation on the Validation Application Block in Enterprise Library 3.0 kept us busy :) Maybe I can sneak a few minutes in during next months meeting to show off both SQL Prompt and SQL Refactor, two really cool tools from Red Gate that provide much needed functionality in SQL Server Management Studio.

SQL Prompt was just released by Red Gate Software, and it provides SQL Intelliense, code snippets, and other nifty features in SQL Server Management Studio. One feature that it shares with SQL Refactor that I really enjoy is Wildcard ( * ) expansion of columns which will replace the wildcard character with a complete list of all the columns in the table:

And, of course, it also has the SQL Intellisense that helps with choosing the appropriate columns, tables, etc. during the creation of your queries and stored procedures:

If you are interested in a little more power from within SQL Server Management Studio, SQL Prompt is certainly worth a look. SQL Refactor rocks, too!
